Pacifica Chamber of Commerce
Workshop: Clay Pots in honor of Native American Heritage Month
Pacifica Library Presents
A Clay Pot Workshop
The fastest way to land at the Four Corners of the United States is taking our field trip to the home of the Pueblo peoples and the longest continually inhabited area of our country. Learn about the rituals, ceremonies, and everyday life mostly of the Hopi, Navajo, and Zuni, from ancient times to today. Meet kids like you who learn how to weave traditional cloth, baskets, and pottery before first grade. Handle our artifacts and use the ancient coil-and-scrape method to create your own clay pot. For ages 6+.
