Charles Neal, an author and importer based in San Francisco, is a leading authority on French brandies (Cognac, Armagnac and Calvados) as well as numerous wines produced in France.  With over 25 years of experience exploring many eclectic regions - Savoie, Jura, and the great Southwest to name a few - he continues to be a leading pioneer of showcasing small, family estates from outside the mainstream.

Founded in 1985, Estate Wines, Ltd. is a company that believes in artisan wineries.  Our interests have always been with wineries and winemakers who are keen on producing wines that reflect true terroir, a sense of soil and history for the wines.  With more than 30 years of experience traveling in both the old world and the new, we have amassed an exciting collection of more than 100 wineries.
