Veterans Resource Fair
Skyline College Hosts:
The Second Annual Veterans Resource Fair
Many veterans don’t realize all of the services available to them to help with education, healthcare, finances, housing, childcare and other life challenges. Skyline College hopes to help with a free, public event where vets can make helpful connections all in one convenient place.
The event is free and open to all San Mateo County Community College District students, faculty, staff and the general public.
“This event is a prime example of the ways that Skyline College and local veteran agencies are collaborating to honor and support our service men and women,” said Gina Ciardella, program services coordinator for the Veterans Resource Center at Skyline College. “We know how hard it can be to navigate the services available to veterans, so this is a way to make it easier, develop an ongoing sense of community and build a network of support.”
This event will offer opportunities for veterans and their family members to connect with veterans support agencies, Skyline College campus programs, and other community resources geared towards veterans and dependents from around the Bay Area. Attendees will also have access to onsite VA Healthcare enrollment opportunities.
Here is a partial list of participating organizations (subject to change):
