San Francisco-based Trumpeter Francisco Fabrega introduced the JAZZSHACK concept to the Bay Area.
In recent years he’s come back to his love of jazz trumpet, coordinating performances in Portland Oregon at the Vie de Boehme, The Central Hotel and hosting weekly jazz jams at Bistro 153. He also recently had an oppor...tunity to share the stage with jazz great, Dick Berk.
He studied under the direction of Ivan Simmons at the SF Conservatory of Music and until recently with Edward Higgins in Portland Oregon. Some of his biggest influences are Eddie Henderson and Donald Byrd.
As a trumpet player who constantly obsesses over sound, Francisco is proud to say he plays a classic Olds Ambassador that he has owned since his youth.
