Jazz meets Brazil in this first-ever collaboration of FivePlay and Celia Malheiros!
 
FivePlay plays sparkling original music in a wide range of moods and grooves, including samba, tango, up-tempo modal jazz, lyrical Ellingtonian ballads and poignant waltzes, all with fresh twists. FivePlay has performed at numerous northern California venues, including the California Jazz Conservatory, Yoshi's Oakland, the Emerald Tablet, Vallejo Jazz Festival, and many more. Their three CDs have all received critical acclaim and international radio airplay.
 
Celia Malheiros, Rio de Janeiro native, is a prolific composer, vocalist, songwriter,  and multi-instrumentalist. Celia is a joyous, charismatic performer who brings the folkloric traditions of Brazil into an exciting, contemporary eclectic musical sensibility.
