SUMMARY:Yoga: Friendship Diet Sangha
DESCRIPTION:Please bring your mat\, comfortable layered clothing\, and an eye pillow or soft scarf.\n\n\n\nOn the fourth Sunday afternoon throughout 2015\, we will build and share support for mindful eating\, drinking\, and living as we meet together. Each workshop will begin with a guided mindfulness meditation\, followed by walking meditation\, one new Restorative Yoga asana\, and finish with delicious mindful food. Our activities are suitable for all levels of health and age\, and not sequential. We can all walk\, sit\, and relax with pillows and blankets!\n\n\n\nEach month will follow a theme\, drawing on the Mindfulness Teachings of Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh\, who has written extensively and poetically about food\, hunger\, suffering\, and healing. Mindfulness themes offer us gentle guidance for persons of any and all faiths and belief systems. We will begin with the Five Powers: Faith\, Diligence\, Mindfulness\, Concentration and Insight.\n\n\n\nOur twelve Sunday sanghas will be January 25\, March 1\, March 29\, April 26\, May 24\, June 28\, July 26\, August 23\, September 27\, October 25\, November 29\, and December 27. Each workshop is independent\, interconnected and can be attended individually.
