SUMMARY:Wine Tasting: Say No to Bad Box Wine
DESCRIPTION:Table Wine Weekend Wine Tasting\n\nSay No to Bad Box Wine\n\nGood wine from a box?? You bet your ass! The problem with "Box Wine" in the past was never the box\, it was that the wine inside it was not worth drinking. If you put GOOD wine in a box\, not only does it taste as delicious as in a bottle\, but now you also have a nice little air tight container that won't go bad in a few days!! In a lot of regions around the world they embraced this genius move years ago\, but very little of it makes it to the US because certain wine companies have given it such a bad image (thanks Franzia) that most of us are still skeptical. Come taste some great wines and let us prove your preconcieved notions wrong! Including selections from France\, Spain\, and Portugal.\n\n \n\n2013 Domaine de la Patience "From The Tank" Vin Blanc\, Pont du Gard France\n\nUn-oaked Chardonnay fom the most Southern Part of the Rhone\, right on the border with Languedoc. Softly fruity and nutty\, but still crisp. Very easy drinking for all white wine enthusiasts.\n\n\n\n2014 Domaine de la Patience "From The Tank" Vin Ros \, Pont du Gard France\n\nRoughly a 50/50 blend of Grenache and Syrah. Light\, refreshing and dry. Great little Provence style Ros to keep in your fridge all spring/summer long!\n\n\n\n2013 Vi a Borgia Garnacha\, Campo de Borja Spain\n\nTotal "house wine." Stainless steal\, no oak grenache that is smooth and fruity\, and VERY easy to drink. Keep this on hand for anytime you just need something easy and red.\n\n\n\n2012 M.Plouzeau Chinon\, Loire Valley France \n\nMaybe the most "impressive tasting" of the lot. 100% Cab Franc from a very well regarded organic Loire producer. If you served this in a decanter to friends at a dinner party\, they would be shocked to see it came on tap in a box!\n\n\n\n2013 Bons Ventos Tinto\, Lisboa Portugal \n\nA blend of indigenous Portuguese grapes Castel o/Camarate/Tinta Miuda/Touriga Nacional. A slightly fuller\, richer wine compared to the other two. Great for your Merlot or softer Cab drinkers. Delivers a lot of wine for a very little price.
