SUMMARY:Theater: Cabaret
DESCRIPTION:Pacifica Spindrift Players Presents:\n\nCabaret\n\n\nBased on: the play by John Van Druten and Stories by Christopher Isherwood\n\nBook by: Joe Masteroff\n\nMusic by: John Kander\n\nLyrics by: Fred Ebb\n\nThe scene is the Kit Kat Klub\, a night club in Berlin\, as the 1920s are drawing to a close. The Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience to the show and assures them that\, whatever their troubles\, they will forget them at the Cabaret. Cliff\, a young American writer\, meets Sally Bowles\, a young English girl while singing at the Klub it becomes apparent that her voice is not the main reason for her employment. Throw into our story a heavily frowned upon romantic relationship between Fraulein Schneider and Herr Schultz due to differences of opinions. As life in pre-WWII Germany grows more and more uncertain\, will the decadent allure of Berlin nightlife be enough to get them through these dangerous times? When we revisit the Klub\, much has changed \n\nPSP is proud to be able to present this 1998 Tony Winning Revival version\, that played successfully on Broadway for two years and is currently touring around the country. Come hear some of the most memorable songs in theatre history\, including Willkommen\, Cabaret\, Mein Herr\, Maybe This Time\, The Money Song\, Two Ladies and so many more. Leave your troubles outside life is beautiful at the Cabaret
