SUMMARY:Pacifica Culture Club Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Florey's welcomes you to our new culture discussion club!\n\n\n\n\n\nFrom the host\, Amanda:\n\n\n\nSimilar to a book club but so many more ways to engage! Instead of just a book assignment\, there will be a topic assignment with varying options to choose from to experience. The topics will range from lighthearted\, to educational to current events and the 'engagement options' will range from books\, movies\, events\, music\, poetry\, articles\, and more all revolving around the assigned topic. Then at meetings we will discuss the topic and how it translated across the mediums. It is not expected you do all of them!! Just one\, unless you want to do more. As well it's encouraged to bring in anything relevant to the topic to share\, poems\, short videos\, songs\, articles\, etc. See February's assignment for an example!\n\n\n\nFebruary's topic is: BLACK HISTORY MONTH\n\nPlease choose at least one of the following to engage in before the meeting!\n\n\n\n1. FICTION BOOK: Calling Me Home By Julie Kibler\n\n\n\n2. NON-FICTION: The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness\n\n\n\n3.
