DESCRIPTION:NBC Bay Area's "OpenRoad" Features: \n\n"The Devil's Slide Trail"\n\n \nSan Mateo County Parks is proud to be an underwriter of the OpenRoad TV series which begins its second season on local NBC channels Sunday\, January 24 at 6:30 p.m. OpenRoad with Doug McConnell takes viewers on journeys to explore the natural\, historical and cultural treasures of the Bay Area and Northern California focusing principally in parks and open spaces protected by the public and made accessible to all people for all time.\n\nThe series opener will include a visit to Devil's Slide Trail\, a San Mateo County Park.  The show will feature Parks Director Marlene Finley and Devil's Slide Trail Ambassador volunteers. Along the trail\, Doug also interviews Zoe Kersteen-Tucker\, a Tunnelista who along with others\, led the effort to build the Tom Lantos Tunnels\, thereby diverting automobile traffic from the very famous road that is now a hiking and biking trail.
